Senior Outreach Ministry
As St. Christopher's Parish grows older an increasing number of our senior are finding it hard to join us for Sundays. Some feel they are becoming disconnected - staying mostly in their home or apartment - alone. We have formed a team of trained parish volunteers who wish to help our older members remain connected. Our volunteers are offering to visit or call once a week. They are helping to provide an opportunity for our less mobile seniors to catch on parish activities, share and enrich their faith life and perhaps discuss other subjects of interest.
Senior Coffee is every Tuesday following the 12pm Mass.
Eucharistic Ministry:
Eucharistic ministers also called Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, help priests to prepare and to serve the Eucharist, Holy Communion at Mass. The Eucharist is the Sacred Sacrament, which for Catholics becomes the body and blood of Christ with a priest's consecration of communion bread and wine. As a Eucharistic minister, you will be placed on a rotating schedule at the mass you regularly attend.
Liturgical Ministries:
Lectors
Lectors are needed for all masses on Saturday and Sunday. Lectors prepare and proclaim God's Word for assigned liturgies (may include General Intercessions).

If you are interested in this ministry and are fully initiated into the Catholic Faith (have received Confirmation), please contact Lynn Brown.
Ministers of Hospitality are people who help usher and greet the congregation. As a minister of hospitality, you help create a climate of warmth, welcome and belonging by, help ushering parishioners in a courteous manner, collect donations and donation envelopes, and hand out the weekly bulletins. If you are interested in this ministry please contact the Parish Office.
Altar Servers are boys and girls who are in grades three and higher, and they have made their First Reconciliation and their First Communion. Becoming an Altar Server is a great way to learn more about our faith and liturgies.
Training is provided and they will be placed onto a rotating schedule to serve at the weekend mass they normally attend. They will also be asked to help serve at Confirmation and special Liturgical celebrations (Christmas, The Easter Triduum, Easter Vigil, Easter.) Please contact Hilda if you are interested!
