Sacramental Preparation for Children

At St. Christopher’s parish we are pleased to offer preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation and Baptism for children (7 years and older). For information on Infant Baptism and Marriage preparation please contact the parish office for more details.

First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion

Preparation for the reception of Confession and Eucharist will begin in the first week of October 2021 and runs until May-June 2022.

The program is a combination of online catechetical learning, designed to engage the whole family, and in-parish “Family Gatherings” that focus on the liturgical aspects of celebrating the sacraments and engaging in the life of the parish community.

The primary catechetical resource we use is Blessed First Reconciliation & Blessed First Communion (published by Dynamic Catholic), but other resources are used to supplement the preparation.

Preparation is open to children ages 7 and older (grade 2 and up).

The cost of the program is $100.

Parents who wish to register their child/children are asked to complete the registration form and email it to MBrylowski@Archtoronto.org

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, adapted for children

Children who are not yet baptized and wish to become members of the Catholic Church, and who have the permission of their parents, are prepared for the sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation (if they are of sufficient age) through a personally designed program of catechesis and liturgical integration into the community. Preparation for the sacraments is a combination of online and in-person learning.

Parents of children who are interested are asked to contact Michelle Brylowski at MBrylowski@Archtoronto.org for more details and to develop a plan that is right for your child and your family.
