Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to discover new interests, work on and acquire new skills, connect with the Parish, make new friends, build friendships and have fun.
***PLEASE NOTE: The minimal requirement to volunteer is setup week, and 1 week of camp.***
There are various roles volunteers can fill. Participate in an opportunity that best suits your interests. Some roles include:
Jr. Crew (ages 11 – 12) & Sr. Crew (ages 13+) Leader Here’s the fun stuff you’ll do!
Imagination Station (Elementary and Pre-school) - The Imagination Station leader encourages creativity and brings the Bible point to life through interactive and impactful illustrations for groups of elementary-age kids. Organization, imagination, and creativity are a must for this fun-loving leader.
Sing and Play: (Opening and closing)
Bible Discovery - This organized storyteller brings the Bible to life for groups of elementary-age kids through interactive and engaging experiences, then helps kids apply the word of God to their own lives.
Kid Vid Cinema - This master of discussion shares Bible-point-reinforcing video resources with groups of elementary-age kids before leading them in a discussion on how they can apply the point to their own lives.
Indoor & Outdoor Game Makers - The energetic and organized individual oversees leading groups of elementary-age kids in fun physical activities and discussions. You don’t need to be an Olympian; you just need to be organized, energetic, and fun-loving.
Snack Factory - This organized individual is in charge of preparing materials and guiding kids through the process of preparing and serving a snack.
Tech Crew - This timely person is organized and in charge of preparing all audio and visual support for Sing and Play. This leader will be working closely with Sing and Play leader to plan and discuss Opening and Closing programs. This role does include learning how to use professional stage software, video editing, and photography.
Check below for a typical day at VBS. Please note that there is no morning Mass on Monday. Thursday is always water day (weather permitting), and we try to fit in a movie during the week.

ROTATING STATIONS There are four stations where the campers rotate between: CRAFTS WITH JESUS – A Bible story focused on craft GROUP GAME – A physical game played in a group setting ARTS & CRAFTS – Creative activities related to the camp’s theme IMAGINATION STATION – Using science to create and discover surprising faith connections. Breaks are included during this time. |
