Confirmation Preparation 2026-2027
Congratulations! Welcome to your Confirmation year!
Please read through the information carefully before registering your child.
Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the sacraments of Christian initiation… the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace (CCC 1285).
Sacrament of Initiation: It is one of the three sacraments of Initiation along with Baptism and Eucharist.
Completion of Baptism: Confirmation builds upon the graces received in Baptism, completing Christion Initiation and bringing about a deeper commitment to Christ and the Church.
Receiving the Holy Spirit: It is considered the sacrament of the Holy Spirit, in which the individual is strengthened and sealed with the gifts of the Spirit.
Who Can Receive Confirmation?
**If you are unsure about your child’s baptism or if they have not received one or both Sacraments listed above, please speak with Levy Anne.**
Confirmation Sponsor
A Sponsor for Confirmation is a role model of the Faith for the candidate. The sponsor has received all three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation) and lives in harmony with the Roman Catholic Faith. The sponsor supports the candidate being confirmed in her/his commitment to a Christian life.
